Josef leads the data science team at LineVision that is responsible for researching improvements to our core Line Ratings models, as well as modeling accuracy and uncertainty in underlying weather inputs. His team has also developed and pioneered new algorithmic product features such as LineAware icing detection. Josef has worked in the energy industry for over 10 years, previously building data science driven products at the energy analytics firm, Genscape (now part of Wood Mackenzie). Josef earned a bachelor of science degree in Engineering Physics from Colorado School of Mines, and completed a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
